just follow this tip

I am in the field of Computers from past 16 years and during this period I had learnt many things and from the beginning itself I was very fond of learning Computer Programming and at present I am developing Software programs for various Govt. Sectors. And regarding the Internet business, I started my internet career about 5 years ago and since then I have learnt a lot from this Internet thing.

Almost 80% of Internet users search for ‘How to make money online?‘ and so I decided to create a niche website to tell you about the most of earning money online.

make money online How to Make Money Online A Stable Income Tip !

Make Money Online

Since, this is my first post describing this niche, I just wanted to tell you the ‘Basics of Internet Career’ and what is all about ‘Earning Money Online‘.

So guys, have you ever thought that how most of the publishers earn their living only with a few sites they develop. Most of them are under the free site providers like Blogger, WordPress.com, etc. The main success behind such Publishers is just their hard work and patience.

I have seen many publishers who are earning more than $144K per month, so how this happened? Actually, they are writing under a proper niche and that too continuously, within time the reputation of their site increases in search engines and they start earning regular income from their blogs/websites. For more information about finding your niche, refer to my article regardingList of High Paying Adsense Categories for your Niche Website.

Regarding Adsense, its a very big deal to make a good standing account with Adsense because Google won’t spare a single second to ban your account if you have made a single mistake in following Adsense TOS.

But, what if you haven’t done any mistake and Adsense disabled your account, so as with many genuine Publishers. Always make an alternate source of online Income like:

  1. Sell online products.
  2. Sell your own ebooks or products.
  3. Become Affiliate Marketer, through which many publishers are earning their livelihood.
  4. Always use Adsense Alternative Publisher accounts, don’t ever depend on a single firm as Adsense.

If you follow the above tips, you will always have a backup of your Income Source, and if something odd happens with Adsense account, you will gain a regular income from other sources.

But, I recommend making a good standing with your Adsense account as this is a Genuine Publishing network and pays the most share which comes form its advertisers.

Now, what about the Stable Income? Its a must have like problem for almost all of the Publishers who are beginners in this field. don’t worry guys, I will try to solve this problem also, rest depends on your work and writing capabilities.

The income which is coming regularly is called Stable Income, but when this income multiplies itself per month then its called a GOOD STABLE INCOME, so how to earn a good stable income, its very easy… just follow this tip:

HAVE PATIENCE AND UPDATE YOUR SITE DAILY WITH NICHE AND QUALITY CONTENT

DON’T FORGET TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE 4 POINTS AS A SOURCE OF SECONDARY INCOME

After a certain time, you will be getting a regular income, and please don’t blame me if you are not writing proper articles, not updating your blog regularly and expecting to get a good income.

Moreover, many of us think that Google Panda update has eaten my visitors, but my personal opinion about this blog and the visitors is that after recent Panda Update, every genuine publisher is getting targeted users, and I am watching my blog since the last update and I have seen a drastic increase in returning visitors and also new ones, that too targeted.

Makeup and Beauty Blog Monday Poll, Vol. 224

Makeup and Beauty Blog Monday Poll, Vol. 224

Me and my younger brother

  • You might be wondering, “So what the heck is this Monday Poll thing anyway?”
Well, it isn’t much of a poll. It’s more just a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I’ve been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the past four years. I’ve always enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you enjoy reading mine.
  1. Mood:
Splendiferous! Phantasmagorical, actually. :) I had such a nice birthday weekend. Best one in years, and now I’m just going to try to milk those good vibes for as long as possible this week.
  2. Did you ever go through an awkward phase?

You mean other than the one I’m in now, LOL?! Every day feels awkward in its own special way.

But seriously, image-wise, my years 9 through 12 were particularly challenging. I had Richard Marx hair, none of my clothes fit me correctly, and I hadn’t yet figured out my place in my school’s social pecking order.

I was also very, very shy, and that made things…difficult.

  3. Have you ever read a book based solely on its cover?

LOL! Oh, yeah. Absolutely. I used to do it all the time when I was a kid. I’d go to the library and borrow a stack of books with the coolest/prettiest covers.

Funny thing is, I actually found some great reads that way! Like The Nasty Alexander, which had a beautiful bright red cover.

It was about a very naughty child who kept getting into trouble, which gave me an idea…

At the time I read it, my mom was pregnant with my younger brother, and she and my dad still hadn’t decided on his name. I remember handing her the book and asking her to read it to me, and how she paused when she read the title, “Alexander,” which later became my brother’s name. :)

Nowadays, I’m most attracted to book covers with interesting typography (and repelled by book covers that feature my nemesis font, Comic Sans).

  4. Boots with shorts in summer? Yay or a nay?
A lot of gals around town here have been rockin’ the look lately. I think it’s kinda cute, so yay.
  5. Who was the last person you had coffee with?
Hmm… Tabs only drinks decaf, so I guess it would be my friends Jen and Cindy two weeks ago.
  6. Where did you grow up?
I spent my childhood and teenage years in a town about 40 miles east of here called Union City, which is about 20 miles or so from Oakland.

It’s grown since then, but it was a pretty small town when I was growing up, and I lived a very sheltered life.

I was happy, though. I just don’t think it really prepared me for life outside the nest.

Moving away to college in Davis about 150 miles north was probably where I did most of my growing up. There, and the few years I lived in San Francisco in my early 20s.

Those were difficult years…but I feel like I learned a lot about myself.

  7. Have you ever used the words, “broseph” or “bromance,” in a serious sentence?
Broseph, no. But bromance? Yes. I’m also guilty of using an offshoot of the word, “bromantical.” LOL!
  8. Did you ever own a Walkman (CD or cassette)?
No, but I remember my friend having one and thinking how lucky she was to always have music at her fingertips!
  9. Which of the True Blood characters would you most like to hang out with?
Lafayette (who tweeted me once in real life! — err, well, the actor who plays Lafayette). I have a feeling we’d be able to talk about smudgy eyeliner and nail polish for days.
  10. Weekly goals:
Just to keep smilin’. :) Oh, ya know, and to get all of my work done.

Good morning and happy Monday, my friend. Brace yourself for 20 pounds of virtual kitty hugs. Tabs would like to climb up on your lap, if you’re so inclined, so please make space on your right shoulder (always has to be the right shoulder), so that he may rest his heft upon thou unimpeded.

There. Now you can’t move until you finish today’s Monday Poll. ;)

Good job, Tabs. Good job.

  • To complete the Monday Poll, just copy the following list, and paste it with your answers in the comments.

1. Mood:
2. Did you ever go through an awkward phase?
3. Have you ever read a book based solely on its cover?
4. Boots with shorts in summer: yay or nay?

6. Where did you grow up?
7. Have you ever used the words, “broseph” or “bromance,” in a sentence?
8. Did you ever own a Walkman (CD or cassette)?
9. Which of the True Blood characters would you most like to hang out with?
10. Weekly goals:

You know what? You and I are are going to have an exceptionally good week. Seriously, I’ve got that feeling!

Mama always said, “When life hands you insomnia, hide your dark circles with concealer.”

Okay, my mom didn’t actually say that because she doesn’t wear makeup (I know! The apple fell so far from the tree!).

Anyhoo, I was inspecting the purplish nether regions under my eyes this morning and feeling pretty crappy because of the whole no sleep thing, so I decided to run with it and try a purplish-brown smokey eye. The result improved my sour mood and put a lil’ spring in my step, for sure!

The shadows I used from left to right:

  • MAC Showstopper (matte)
  • MAC Newly Minted (matte)
  • MAC Frisco (matte)
  • MAC Saddle (matte)
  • MAC Retrospeck (lustre)
  • MAC Star Violet (veluxe pearl)
  • MAC Sable (frost) – Whoops! I forgot to swatch this one. Click here to view a swatch.

I haven’t been a regular user of matte shadows in the past, but I went all out with them this time. Thanks to MAC Senior Makeup Artist Jennifer Karsten’s advice, I’ve decided I’m going to work diligently to couple them with shimmer shades to create more depth in my eye makeup looks.

The color map below shows where I placed the different eyeshadows…

  1. MAC Frisco – browbone
  2. MAC Saddle – crease
  3. MAC Star Violet – lid
  4. MAC Sable – outer third of lid
  5. MAC Showstopper – outer V
  6. MAC Retrospeck – inner third of lid
  7. MAC Newly Minted – upper lash line (I smudged this on top MAC Technakohl eyeliner in Graphblack)
  8. MAC Saddle and Sable – lower lash line

Trying to balance the look, I kept the lips neutral and the cheeks light.

What I used over the entire eye

  • Too-Faced Shadow Insurance Primer

On the upper lash line and waterline

  • MAC Technakohl eyeliner in Graphblack

Lashes

  • L’oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara

Is Milk of Magnesia a Cure for Oily Skin-

Is Milk of Magnesia a Cure for Oily Skin?

Sam Written by Sam

The subject of today’s guest post from makeup artist and blogger Sam has been soothing tummies since 1829! Now let’s see what it can do for skin. ;)

Milk of Magnesia for skin

The product that finally brought my skin to genesis is incredibly easy to use, portable, and comes in a chic little package. Since Ive begun using it, my pores have all but disappeared, my skin redness has faded away, and my skin is as smooth as non-comedogenic butter. Thats right. Im talkin about the Clarison — oh, wait. We already did that review.

No, what Im here to hype today is not meant to be a skincare product at all. Its actually a digestive aid. Liquid milk of magnesia (about $6 for a 12-oz. bottle) is a suspension of magnesium hydroxide in water, given its name due to its milky white appearance, and its typical uses include soothing raucous stomach acids and easing constipation… Not quite the kind of thing you think about using near your face, right?

Wrong (I bet you didn’t see that one coming).

For a long time, I’d been hearing about DIY beauty remedies involving milk of magnesia as a weekly facial mask to soak up oil and help reduce acne. But, probably like many of you, I was extremely wary of putting anything meant to be in my acidic stomach on my sensitive skin, so I relegated this tip to the REJECTED pile and went on, going through bottles of cleansers, foundations, serums, and medications in an attempt to find something that could control my over-eager sebaceous glands.

A few products certainly helped reduce oil production, and my Clarisonic has done wonders for my skin overall, but the search continued to find a single product able to keep that dreaded shine off my nose, chin, and cheeks for more than a few hours at a time.

For years I’d dart into restrooms to blot my face with those not-so-great-for-hands-but-oddly-wonderful-for-faces paper towels (the really stiff brown ones), and to smooth out the smile lines that would appear after a couple of hours of laughing and bearing my pearly whites (thank you, Crest Whitestrips!).

As for photos? A nightmare! Im surprised that my recent passport photo was accepted despite the blinding glare.

But for me the worst thing about oily skin had always been foundation transfer and absorption. Whenever anything would touch my face (be it the collar of my coat, a stack of papers I may rest my head upon, or my pillowcase on the rare nights I pass out before cleaning up), it would come away with a nice coating of Revlon Colorstay Foundation in 150 Buff…and do you know how hard that stuff is to get out of Dry-clean Only clothes??

Even when I’d been fortunate enough to make it through a day without any foundation transfer accidents, my foundation still looked a fright by 4pm, with my oily skin absorbing and redistributing foundation in all the wrong places, leaving me with a blotchy, dull complexion that night. Not cute.

Then a few weeks ago I ran across a brief post on a blog mentioning milk of magnesia as a treatment for oily skin. Out of both patience and resources, I decided to take the dive and go for it. I thought, what do I have to lose (besides a bit of dignity), so I stopped by CVS to snag one of the small blue bottles from the foot care and digestive aid aisle before hurrying home.

Not wanting to just smear it on with my fingers, I grabbed a disposable cosmetic sponge, pressed it up against the mouth of the bottle, and tipped it over. Taking the now damp sponge, I dabbed it over my nose, and repeated this for each of my cheeks, my chin, my forehead, and under my jaw. And I hit my nose once more for good measure.

Within a minute, the stuff had dried, and left a few chalky, white streaks across my cheeks. Fantastic. However, a bit of gentle rubbing with the sponge quickly smoothed these out. Next, I applied my normal primer, and then went about my normal face routine.

Looking in a mirror for the first time that day was not a pleasant experience. My foundation looked thick, cakey, and most of all, dry. Well, this was new. Mortifying, but new. Not a spot of shine lit up my face, and this was about three hours in, a time when my nose would have already begun to act as its own little mirror.

Something was different, that was for sure.

So, the next day, I went about the same initial routine, but applied about a third as much foundation as I normally would, and barely any powder (I used to press it in to get my face to be relatively matte) at all.

If I may be so bold, I think my face looked amazing! Surprisingly, my skin actually looked like skin, and not like a layer of product covering up bad skin. More than that, it looked like normal skin. No oil. No glow. Just a perfectly bare, slightly flushed matte canvas. All. Day. Long.

That day I did my face around 6:30 in the morning, and by 8 pm the same day it looked almost as bright and fresh as when I had first applied. A miniscule amount of shine had drifted onto my nose, but not anywhere near enough to disrupt my foundation. Only when I actually rubbed did any product come off on my testing fingers.

But the thing Im the most excited about is that I can now use my NARS Albatross highlighting powder to give my skin that sultry sheen (you know the one).

After using milk of magnesia daily for two weeks, the large pores on my nose have practically disappeared, even without foundation and powder to hide them. I havent gotten a single new pimple, and the ones I had when I first started using it were gone within two days, leaving not even a red blotch to remind me of their awful presence. My cheeks are much less red, and I havent seen head or scale of my dermatitis (for which milk of magnesia is given as a folk remedy), which is incredible in this extremely cold, dry weather. But perhaps the biggest change is that my skin seems to be producing less oil on its own. On days when Im home and lounging, Ive noticed that my bare skin looks a tad less oily on its own than it used to.

I also used it once as a facial mask, applying a layer all over my face without blending out, letting it dry for 15 minutes, and rinsing. Afterwards, my face felt a bit tight, but my skin was amazingly even. The small red bumps I sometimes get on my cheeks had flattened completely, and my pores were definitely lighter.

Now, in my semi-extensive reading, I have found that some people have had issues after using milk of magnesia on their face. Mostly, its made their skin red or itchy, but thats pretty much it. Like any new skincare product, I suggest testing this somewhere out of sight before you go all in (behind your ear is usually a good spot; who looks back there?).

For extremely oily skin like mine, one to two layers all over the face should do the trick (you may have to experiment a bit; always start with less and build up to more). For less oily and combination skin, a thin, well-blended layer or spot application (like just in your T-zone) should do the trick.

Now, I think normal to dry skin folks should stay far, far away from milk of magnesia, even if they suffer from bad makeup transfer or blotchy-face. I could actually see this stuff doing some minor damage to those not cursed with trigger-happy sebaceous glands.

On a final note, make sure to get the original, unflavored version. Im sure my face would love to smell like strawberry or chocolate laxatives, but for some reason that just doesnt seem right.

Upcoming Fashion Events (and Corrections)

The Spring always brings with it a frenzy of activities in the city. Here are some fashion-related events coming up which we think might be of interest:

The Williamsburg Fashion Show is taking place May 4 through May 6, and features an evening organized by art/fashion boutiques Sodafine and Treehouse. Titled Cherry Blossom Circus and taking place on Friday May 4th around 8pm at Secret Project Robot (10 Kent Ave. at Metropolitan Ave), it includes performances by Feral Childe and a number of other Brooklyn-based designers.

NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program is also staging their end of the year show on May 8 and 9 (5-9pm). Though it’s not specifically a fashion event, it will include an array of projects dealing with the interaction between garments and technology. Under the stewardship of Despina Papadopoulos, who teaches at ITP, the New York community of people experimenting at the brink between fashion and technology seem, in fact, to be in expansion.

Last but not least, there will be an author event at on May 8 (at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore at 227 West 27th Street from 5 to 6:30pm) with Sonnet Stanfill for the catalogue she wrote concomitantly with the exhibit she recently curated at the V&A in London. Currently on view and titled New York Fashion Now, the exhibit and its accompanying catalogue cover the various strands of emerging New York designers. (Among the featured designers is Fashion Projects favorite Mary Ping, along with Three As Four, Cloak Coach Outlet Coupons, and a great number of others.)

Wessie Ling “Game On”

A new art installation by Wessie Ling (a London-based artist) is opening at Exhibit in East London. Titled “Game On: The World Fashion Conquest,” it is meant as an exploration of the way cities use fashion to achieve a range of goals beyond simply promoting the local fashion industries.

“The focal point for the exhibit is a catwalk, which has been transformed into a giant game board with a world map on the runway. This interactive exhibit encourages viewers to play a role in the global fashion system, more specifically the fashion weeks held in 85 cities around the globe. Ling’s game, inspired by the world domination game ‘Risk’, considers the many conflicting roles a fashion week may play in a city–from endeavouring to brand a city as a fashion capital to merely using the event to generate tourism.

Wessie Ling is a London-based visual artist whose work concerns the relation among fashion, identities, and cities. Interactive-ness is key to her work. She uses interactive installation to consider how fashion represents and connects our cultural selves. Ling is currently a Senior Lecturer at the London College of Fashion Coach Bags Online, University of the Arts London.”

3 Fall 2010 Fashion Trends to Wear Now – Und

3 Fall 2010 Fashion Trends to Wear Now – Under $100!

header-3-trends-to-wear-now

I am the biggest fan of fall fashion you will ever meet – I love the thought of chunky sweaters, wool shorts, and the anticipation of wearing tights again! However, since we are still many weeks away from fall weather, I have been obsessed with finding fall pieces you can wear right now.

There are lots of trends on tap for fall Louis Vuitton outlet online, but the military, crochet, and tribal trends are three of the biggest. I’ve rounded up 15 of my favorite pieces from each trend that you can wear NOW, and the best part? They’re all under $100! Talk about looking chic on a budget Coach Outlet Online!

Trend #1: Military

15-military-pieces

From top left to right: Anorak, Jacket, Sweater, Headband, Shirt, Cargos, Purse, Boots, Cargos, Purse, Tunic, Pants, Shirt, Skirt, Purse

The military look has been one of this year’s hottest trends, and will continue to stay popular through the fall. If you’re a bit hesitant to try this look, the key is to rock one military piece at a time and then leave the rest of your outfit simple.

My favorite military-inspired warm-weather outfit is a pair of army green cargos topped with a sparkly tee for a fun night out. (This tank looks great with cargos!) Another great way to rock this trend now is to wear one of the shirts pictured above with some denim cutoffs. Not only are all of these pieces great to wear now, but you can also wear the jacket, headband and purses once the weather is cooler, as well.

Trend #2: Crochet

15-crochet-pieces

From top left to right: Headband, Top, Clutch, Hat, Vest, Strapless Dress, Dress, Skirt, Flats, Shirt, Tank, Dress, Top coach outlet handbags, Tank, Tights

Crocheted pieces practically scream “summer days” to me: Their light, airy feel makes them a great option on those unbearably hot days. Even better, crochet is a hot fall 2010 fashion trend, so any crochet pieces you buy now will be just as stylish come October!

Above, I chose a number of pieces that would work perfectly with jeans, sandals and tanks. If crochet brings up bad memories of ugly sweaters that your granny used to make you Coach Factory Outlet Online, than the crochet tights would be the perfect way to subtly incorporate this trend into your closet. By wearing the tights under a skirt and throwing on some boots Coach Factory, you’ve instantly created more of a tough-girl look, without even the slightest tinge of granny aesthetic!

Trend #3: Tribal

15-tribal-pieces

From top left to right: Skirt, Maxi Dress, Tunic, Tank, Shoes, Dress, Necklace, Maxi Skirt, Bracelet, Sandals, Dress, Tank Dress, Tie Dress, Tank Dress, Strapless Dress

How light and flowy are these gorgeous tribal-inspired pieces? They’re oh-so-summery and perfect for right now, but will also look amazing in the fall.

Because tribal pieces are often very loud, it’s best to pair them with simple accessories. If you’re going to wear one of the dresses, just slip into some flip-flops or simple leather sandals and you’re good to go! Or, if you’re wearing a tribal print skirt, pair it with a basic tee. If the print is still too much for you, don’t despair! You can still rock this trend by wearing tribal-inspired accessories, like the jewelry or shoes I featured above.

Thoughts?

What are you thoughts on these trends? Which is your favorite? Will you be rocking any of these now or in the fall? As always, let us know with a comment!

Fashion Inspiration: Disney Villains – Ursula

Ursula from Disney's The Little Mermaid

Although Disney Villains aren’t exactly role models, they do tend to be inspirational when it comes to fashion. Even the amazing makeup label MAC found them inspiring, releasing a Disney Villains-inspired makeup collection. So as requested by many of you Coach Outlet, over the next few weeks, I’ll be breaking down fashion inspired by these wicked characters.

This week, I wanted to feature one of the most famous Disney villains of all, Ursula from Walt Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Although it’s definitely not beach weather outside (at least, in most parts of the US), why not reminisce about sunnier days with everyone’s favorite aquatic villain?

Like the previous articles in this series, the purpose of this article is to use childhood icons as inspiration for outfits that you can actually pull off as a college student. All it takes is a little creativity!

About Ursula

Ursula, the Sea Witch, is an evil sorceress who longs to possess the powers of King Triton. When she finds out the king’s youngest daughter Beats By Dr. Dre, the mermaid Ariel, is in love with a human, Prince Eric, she recognizes a chance to gain control of the throne. Ursula tricks Ariel into making a bargain with her: She will give Ariel human legs for three days in exchange for Ariel’s beautiful voice. If Ariel can get the prince to kiss her within those three days, she can be human forever, but if not, she owes Ursula her soul.

Desperate for a chance with the prince, Ariel takes this deal and becomes human. Despite her lack of a voice, things go very well between Ariel and the Prince. Of course, Ursula does not like this. To tip the odds back in her favor, Ursula uses Ariel’s voice, transforms herself into a beautiful human girl named Vanessa, and woos the Prince. He agrees to marry her on Ariel’s third day as a human.

Ariel and her sea friends do everything they can to stop the wedding, and they succeed when the shell necklace containing Ariel’s voice falls from Ursula’s neck, exposing her true identity. Unfortunately, before Eric can kiss Ariel, the sun sets, meaning Ariel must give her soul to Ursula. As planned, King Triton agrees to give Ursula his power if she releases Ariel. With her new power, Ursula grows until she is enormous and conjures up a terrible storm and massive whirlpool to kill everyone. However, Prince Eric ultimately saves the day when he steers the ship straight into Ursula, leading to her death.

Poor, Unfortunate Soul

Ursula singing Poor Unfortunate Souls

Ursula is shown throughout the movie wearing a tight black outfit that shows off her voluptuous figure. To create an outfit inspired by Ursula’s everyday look, I used a form fitting LBD, high heeled purple pumps, and, of course, a shell necklace like the one that held Ariel’s voice. I also used a gray feathery headband that is reminiscent of Ursula’s hair.

Ursula as Vanessa

ursula as Vanessa

When Ursula, as Vanessa, is getting ready for her wedding, she practices her singing voice while wearing a cream colored slip. To recreate this look, I used a simple dress, paired with a dark coat to match Vanessa’s hair color. I added an octopus ring to show that deep down, Vanessa is really still Ursula (even though Ursula is not an octopus, and actually only has 6 tentacles).

Taking Over the Ocean

With her newly acquired trident, Ursula really lights up the sea with her evilness. While sticking with Ursula’s usual color palette Cheap Coach Purses, for this look, I incorporated lots of materials that reflect light, such as a satin skirt, sparkly tights, and metallic gold earrings.

What Do You Think?

Are you inspired by the Ursula? Which looks are your favorite? Which Disney villains would you be interested in seeing posts about in the future? I want to know what you think, so be sure to leave your thoughts in a comment!

You’re all dressed up and on your way out when you glance in the mirror and realize… something is missing. The outfit is flawless and the shoes are perfect, and then you spot it: A gorgeous bib necklace will make you look even better in that dress! Whether you’re on a date with someone sweet or dressing to impress a potential boss, you can use statement jewelry to transform your wardrobe.

As a love note to these sparkly essentials, today, we’re delving into the history behind our favorite glamorous baubles. The human love affair with all things sparkly is a long one, so for this history lesson I hit the books Coach Outlet Bags, literally! Below, I’ve included a link to each book I referenced in preparing this post, should you want to do some more research yourself. It’s very interesting reading, especially for the girl who loves her?jewelry?as much as her clothes!

History of Statement Jewelry

  • Some of the earliest statement jewelry was found in?Egypt.?Collar?necklaces, dangling earrings Coach Factory Outlet Online, and thick,?cylindrical?rings were all prevalent in Egyptian jewelry boxes. Author Mila Contini notes that “many modern jewels are?imitations?of antique trinkets that belonged to distinguished princesses.” So every time we treat ourselves to a knockout piece of?jewelry Coach Purse, we’re channeling royalty. I’ll take it!
  • The Romans loved their jewels too Cheap Jerseys, but they preferred rings. These rings were made with heavy stones for winter and lighter, more delicate materials for the summer. Regardless of?composition, the?important characteristic of Roman jewelry was history, not value. As is the case today, in ancient Rome, a bauble could be priced higher if it had an illustrious history behind it.
  • Coco Chanel began creating her own elaborate jewelry in the 1920s, using?crystal or colored glass in varying sizes as the Egyptians had. Coco is often credited with popularizing the concept of “costume jewelry,” creating seasonal items that mixed real and imitation stones and pearls.
  • Vivenne Becker, an antique jewelry veteran, talks about “The Cocktail Style” in her book,?Fabulous Costume Jewelry: History of Fantasy and Fashion in Jewels. Popular during the ’30s and ’40s, this jewelry era was all about big, jeweled rings, multi-strand pearl necklaces, and extensive use of gilt metal and rose gold. She describes “cocktail jewelry” as “bubbly and extravagant, like the alcoholic concoctions from which it took its name. It was assertive, bossy,?jewelry?to show off in.”
  • While making a?statement?in the ’50s meant throwing on a charm bracelet, jewelry in the ’60s had a bit more punch. Designer Paco Rabanne fully embraced statement jewelry, experimenting with cheap materials like plastic and PVC and using bright colors. He said, “I made?jewelry?for the alternative side of women’s personality, for their madness.” This Vogue cover from 1965 should give you an idea of the madness he was talking about.
  • It’s a crime to talk about statement jewelry without discussing the woman whose accessories always have something to say: Madeleine Albright. In her book,?she tells the stories behind some of her favorite pins. In one tale, she recalls the first pin she wore to send an intentional political message. The pin was a gold snake wrapped around a branch, which she wore after being referred to as an “unparalleled?serpent” by the?Iraqi?press. Dr. Albright still enjoys collecting pins, though she mentions she receives many as gifts. In fact, when she came to speak at Butler my freshman year, we gave her a bulldog pin as a thank-you!
  • Modern day statement jewelry is big, bold, and full of many elements from previous decades. Today, we love pieces that incorporate the glitz and glam of the ’30s and ’40s, and the colors and materials of the ’60s. Most of all Louis Vuitton Outlet online, we love statement jewelry’s eternal ability to make heads turn.

Movie Inspiration: Fashion Inspired by Dead Poets Society

You asked Coach Outlet, and we delivered!?Classes have started for many of us, and something about reading 5-page long syllabi, buying fresh new school supplies, and perusing new text books makes me want to put on a plaid skirt, penny loafers, and peter pan blouse – which is where today’s movie inspiration comes in.

Dead Poets Society might strike you as a strange movie to draw fashion inspiration from — after all, its cast is practically all-male and its private school setting means the characters essentially wear the same thing throughout the whole film. But fear not, gentle readers — there is sartorial value to be found in this film.

If you haven’t caught Dead Poets Society yet, here’s a little bit about the film: a new teacher (Robin Williams) comes to a strict boys’ boarding school,?and using non-traditional teaching methods, he?introduces the boys?to a new way to approach life. Inspired by poetry and literature, the boys restart a secret society where they express themselves and talk about their aspirations. It’s a great coming-of-age film that’s not only inspirational, but also full of eye candy. :)

Tailored blazers, crisp oxford shirts, khaki pants, and ties comprise the bulk of the wardrobe for Dead Poets Society. While the guys are required to wear school uniforms, I love the androgynous look of “uniform”-inspired pieces for everyday wear. Also, the uniforms in the film are navy, red, and white coach handbags factory outlet online, colors that form a classic palette that can work for both college classes and business casual occasions.

Blazer, Dress Coach Handbags, Scarf, Ring, Pearls, Shoes

If you don’t already own a tan blazer, it’s a fantastic investment piece — all you have to do is throw it on?over any dress, and you’ll be ready for school, church, a nice dinner, or any semi-conservative occasion. Pair your blazer with a classically tailored dress, and add lace-up oxford heels for a little bit of style. Finish your look with pearls, a signet ring, and a lightweight red scarf.

Oh Captain, My Captain!

dead-poets-society-fashion-2

Even the buttoned-up boys in Dead Poets Society had a little bit of leisure time. Granted, most of that time was spent frolicking through the woods, acting in Shakespearian plays,?and writing love poems. (Ah, what dream boats.) Steal a bit of their east coast-preppy style and work it into a casual outfit perfect for class, running errands, or a little frolicking through the woods with a special boy yourself Coach Outlet Coupons!

Cardigan, Tank, Pants, Shoes, Bracelet

I love the look of these classic cuffed trousers — the cuffs give the otherwise-polished khaki chinos a laid back, adventurous vibe. Pair them with a striped tank top, a light cardigan, and your trusty pair of Sperry’s. Finish with a simple charm bracelet.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

*Mar 01 - 00:00*05_Flatbed_WEB

Spoiler alert: Knox Overstreet falls for Chris, the only girl in the entire film. As the film was set in the 1950s, her girlish style reflects the trends of the time. Chris is seen rocking full skirts, fuzzy sweater sets, simple jewelry, and her signature headband.

Take a tip from Chris and pair a delicate cardigan with a full skirt — the combo will look perfect for casual interviews, a date, or meeting the boyfriend’s parents.

I can’t get over how adorable this dress is — it makes me want to eat cotton candy and walk up and down a boardwalk!
