Even though it is rather obvious that Marc Jacobs doesn’t design all of the 947 collections he turns out annually, he has always been gracious when it comes to giving credit where credit is due. And credit for this year’s Louis Vuitton Resort collection goes not only to his studio design director, Julie De Libran, but to his longtime friend Sofia Coppola, who continues to play the role of muse at large. The clothes were largely inspired by 1960s and ’70s French cinema cheap oakley sunglasses, but a few looks cheap oakley sunglasses, like this kicky, pleated dress with its matching Vespa helmet, would look at home on Coppola herself, as she tools around Paris’s Sixth Arrondissement.
